The summit will kickoff with sessions covering the fundamental areas to consider when raising investment, including: negotiating terms and valuation with Philippa Sturt, Managing Partner at Joelson, securing IP with Andrew White, Managing Associate at Mathys & Squire and crowdfunding with Crowdcube.
In the afternoon we’ll host a live panel with funded founders, set to include: Peter Hiscocks, co-founder of Pod Point and veteran investor, and Hugo Tilmouth, CEO of ChargedUp, who will be sharing their experiences of raising investment from seed round all the way through to multi-million pound exits, answering your questions along the way.
The summit will end with two back-to-back panel sessions with investors, one focused towards those that can advise you on the B2B market and the other on B2C, you’ll hear from Chair of Cambridge Angels, Peter Cowley and Investment Director at Longwall Ventures, Kate Ronayne. This is your opportunity to find out everything you’ve ever wanted to know about how to find, approach, engage and maintain your relationships with investors!

Kate Ronayne - Investment Director, Longwall Ventures
Kate Ronayne is an Investment Director at Longwall Ventures, an early stage Venture Capital fund which focuses on investing in technology, sciences, engineering and healthcare businesses.
Peter Hiscocks - Co-Founder & Chairman, Pod Point
Peter Hiscocks is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Pod Point, the UK’s leaders in electric vehicle charging which was recently sold to EDF Energy in a reported £100m deal. Peter is a serial entrepreneur with a number of successful exits under his belt and is an active angel investor.

What is the format of the day?
All sessions will take place online throughout the day on Tuesday 28th of April 2020 from 9.30am – 5pm. Once you have purchased your ticket you’ll receive a confirmation email with a detailed agenda for the day and personalised links to access each session. Sessions will run for approximately 50 minutes and there will be plenty of time for Q&A.
Do I need to watch the sessions live? What if I miss a session?
No. The sessions will be recorded and uploaded to a private attendees portal which you’ll have lifetime access to. You can watch them anytime you want, from anywhere. Plus, you get lifetime access to every session so you can go through them again if needed, any number of times.
Can I purchase a ticket after the event?
No. Tickets will not be available after the event is over however attendees will have lifetime access to all of the information.
