We completely understand the risks and challenges of growing a business and securing investment because we’ve been there ourselves. We’re serial entrepreneurs and we’ve walked the walk a number of times – meaning we know the risks, blindspots and things that can go wrong.

Helena is a serial entrepreneur and has worked in early-stage investment for almost 12 years. Prior to founding Raising Partners in March 2017, Helena founded an e-commerce platform and learnt all of the painful lessons on what not to do when it comes to raising money.
Raising Partners is the business she wished had existed when she first raised finance.

Alex Rowe Head of Investment
Having worked with a number of investment advisory firms, Alex has worked in early-stage investment since graduating from the University of St Andrews with an MA in Economics, where he wrote one of the first pieces of academic literature on equity crowdfunding and founded the St Andrews Angels network. Prior to joining Raising Partners, Alex led goHenry’s £6m equity crowdfunding campaign.
Alex divides his time between our angel investments and working across our portfolio and clients.

Kirsty is responsible for supporting clients with their crowdfunding campaigns.
Kirsty has worked within the entrepreneurial ecosystem for a number of years helping business’s to grow and scale. She has previously been involved in crowdfunding and has a variety of experience in different sectors including running her own business as a chocolatier.

Kienan Bruemmer Investment Associate
Kienan is an Investment Associate at Raising Partners and works with the full Investment Team to support businesses throughout their investment rounds.
Kienan graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a degree in Finance and International Relations. During his time at university, he was heavily involved with the Investment society and completed internships doing finance and business development for start-ups.

Nicola is the Business Operations Manager at Raising Partners responsible for maximising efficiencies across core business functions.
Nicola previously worked for a leading multimedia agency in Scotland for 14 years as a Business Manager providing innovative solutions for growth, profitability and sustainability. Nicola is passionate about continuous improvement and driving business forward.
